Description
In June 2019, we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Applied Mathematics at UW. The department has had a tremendous impact on how applied mathematics is approached in the US and beyond. At this forward-looking conference, we will explore through presentations and panels what the future of the field may look like for the next 50 years. WORKSHOP: Monday, June 17 - Tuesday, June 18 - FULL
Ideal for junior researchers and students.
Each day includes two workshops, and two breakout sessions.
CONFERENCE: Wednesday, June 19 - Friday, June 21
Ideal for UW Applied Mathematics alumni, friends, current and prospective students, researchers, and faculty.
The three day conference includes 5 plenary speakers, parallel sessions, and panels.
A poster session and reception is scheduled for Wednesday evening.

What's the refund policy?
Refunds can be requested up to 7 days prior to the start of the event. If you need an exception to this, please email us at apmevent@uw.edu.
I'd like to participate in the poster session. What size should my poster be?
Poster boards available can accommodate posters up to 40 inches x 60 inches in size.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
UW is serviced by many bus routes as well as light rail. Please visit the conference webpage for specific transportation options.
